The Fort Worth Lockheed Martin Aeronautics (LM Aero) Plant is the home of the F-35 production line. LM Aero representatives will give a 2.5 hour guided tour which will include a presentation on the aircraft and production facility. Participants will tour the production line by golf cart and finish with hands-on experience in the F-35 Cockpit Demonstrator Simulator (CDS). After the tour, the bus will stop at a local Texas restaurant for barbecue on the way back to the Hyatt.
Depending on availability Cockpit Demonstrator Simulator (CDS) will be in the Ready Room to fly on Friday.
Under the leadership of CEO John "Chris" Cassidy CAPT (Ret) the MOHM grand opening was held March 22, 2025. A 1993 USNA graduate, CAPT Cassidy graduated from BUD/S class 192 in 1993 as Honor man. He was selected as an astronaut in May 2004. After training, he made five missions for a total of 377 days, 17 hr and 49 min. After retiring from the Navy and NASA in 2021, he joined the NMOH Museum Foundation as President and CEO.
You enter through a sunken, open courtyard, the Rotunda of Honor, a space that functions as the main entrance point into the facility and a public space where we will gather. A conical oculus cut out of the center of the Exhibition Hall above allows light to penetrate down into the Rotunda of Honor. Visitors pass through the Rotunda to arrive at the Exhibition Hall via a pair of glass elevators or by means of two stairs ascending upwards in a spiral.

The museum features engaging interactive exhibits, including artifacts, virtual battlefields, and short films, which provide insight into the Medal of Honor and its recipients. Just opened in spring of 2025, the NMOHM is a museum that honors United States Armed Forces Medal of Honor recipients.

The George W. Bush Presidential Center is the second-largest presidential library, behind only the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. Like most presidential libraries it includes a full-size replica of the Oval Office and the Resolute Desk where visitors may have their pictures taken. Particular focus is made on Mr. Bush’s decisions after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, and includes artifacts from the event. Another section includes “Decision Points” interactive exhibits about key events in his presidency, the title taken from Mr. Bush’s memoir. Other exhibits include Hurricane Katrina and the 2008 global financial crisis, and a collection of items from First Ladies of the United States. A temporary exhibit hall has rotating exhibits from American history. Mr. Bush’s paintings are also exhibited in the museum. There is a 14-acre native garden adjacent to the site dedicated to Laura Bush, and a farm-to-table restaurant, Café 43. A wonderful lunch will be on your own in Café 43.
